Here at FoodnFilm we like to do things a little differently, so when our film reviewer, Dave Howarth, informed us that his friend Cain Wilkes had never seen a Marvel Movie, we had to inspire him to change that. So, during the month of April,4 Cain will be watching no less than 17 (seventeen) Marvel movies to put that right.
Cain will be taking over the FoodnFilm Twitter account (@foodnfilmuk) for each film viewing and posting his thoughts, views and questions for the FoodnFilm #GeekSquad to keep up with and maybe even refresh your own Marvel knowledge.
You'll be able to keep up with Cain's journey to Infinity War on the 2nd of May with the hashtag #MyFirstMarvel
Below is the installment of his journey:
"I've always fancied myself as a bit of a film buff and always like to keep up to date with what's going on in the big wide world of cinema but for some reason I've never got on board the juggernaut that is Marvel Studios. The most I've ever ventured into Superhero films are the OG Spiderman films with Toby Maguire and obviously the Christopher Nolan Dark Knight Trilogy (- who hasn't?).
Since the turn of the year it's felt like you can't move without seeing everything Marvel - online or offline, and this seems to be down to all things Black Panther and it's never ending record breaking achievements.
With what seems like a constant release of films, I'd started to think there was no point even trying to take on the Marvel films but a few weeks ago I was speaking with my good friend Dave Howarth, a man who loves the cinema more than life itself, about the next FoodnFilm event being the next Marvel release and we had the thought about getting up to date before the release of Infinity War and basically that's what I'm setting out to do. All 18 films, fresh and new for the first time before the release of Infinity War."
