Make Happen happened to make FoodnFilm

Food n Film, loved it.
On 21st Nov, 3 of the team from Make Happen popped down to FoodnFilm, to see Justice League. Whilst I personally thought the film was okay to good, Cata and Sophie loved it. More importantly, we didn’t go for just the film, we went down to experience what a lot of people have been talking about across Manchester over the last year – Food n Film.
It’s a great concept – social, food, drinks, chat, old & new friends, and yes, a film. The social aspect is nice, it’s more akin to meeting your mates for a relaxed drink and chat, and nothing like the horror of poorly designed networking events.
The food was spot-on, broad appeal, tasty, plenty, and it felt like you’d had a decent feed before the film. Drinks were good – and the venue choice was just right (Revs de Cuba).
And how about the chat and people/friends bit? Again, just right, casual, informal, relaxing, and a bunch of lovely people to meet or catch up with.
For most people, I guess it offered a nice mix of people who you already know, some new faces that you’ve seen before/around town, and some completely new people you’ve never met before.
In 2018, we’ll definitely be getting involved with more Food n Film events, and we’re looking forward to seeing what’s coming.
