After months of wanting to try FoodnFilm, I finally got the chance this month. It was quids in as well because the film, Dunkirk, was awesome!
Scott very kindly offered the night to me for free as his guest. I was very humbled when Scott said he wanted me to be there and that he thought I would find the whole evening extremely worthwhile... And that I did.
FoodnFilm is another one of those easy, comfortable and seamless networking events that seem to be springing up across Manchester. The course of the night went quickly, which is a testament to the set-up and the ease of the night, with food, conversation and drink flowing steady all before the film had even started. I met some fantastic people who shared some really interesting stories. I found it very easy to move in and out of conversation with other attendees and the food seemed to just keep coming, which acted as a fitting ice breaker from time-to-time.
Everyone seemed to be very like-minded but also from very diverse industries and backgrounds. It really is a great set up. The film was sensational also. I could still hear spit fighters whilst lay in bed later on that night. (FnF interjection: we still can now!)
Many thanks to Scott and Daniella for putting these events together. I am so glad that I finally got to do one and am so grateful for the extremely kind gesture of being Scott’s guest. It goes to show how decent a person is when they are thinking about how the night could positively impact attendees – so again I am really thankful for the generous offer. I have already been banging the FoodnFilm drum to people that I think would love to get involved.
Hope to see you guys soon.
