As a bit of a film buff there’s nothing more appealing than a networking event in which I have free reign to expose my geekyness - without feeling like I’m boring the pants off someone.
I was lucky enough to meet an array of people to whom I connected with on a professional and personal level. Unlike some networking events I’ve been to I was made to feel at ease from the very beginning, especially by Scott and Emma from Hard Rock Cafe Manchester. The food was finger lickin’ good – although I did avoid shaking hands through fear of contaminating someone with my cheesy fingers when the amazing piles of nachos came out!
Moving onto the Odeon was pretty seamless as it was only round the corner, whilst we couldn’t watch it on a private screen as planned the premise of a free drink (more than made up for the need to move screens.
The film was a good first choice, even if I hadn’t previously seen The Lego Movie – HOWEVER the big players are yet to come; Logan, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Blade Runner and Thor which I am more than excited about!
